All you lot that say your doomed no your not at all. There's help out there. You can get better all by your self just need a bit of support that's all. To get through and give you that encouragement to stay strong and keep going. Just time everyone can and will recover. U must remember recovery is a slow gradual process and you wont just wake up one day and say I'm fine. I'm better now. It's gradual over days weeks months hours mins. Everyone's recovery is different. And unique to them. It's not a race remember. Your healing so take baby steps. Your get there eventually well done everyone your doing amazingly

Can I just say that I feel with those who may be feeling worse as they read the Guide? The truth is that anxiety and depression both weave themselves intricately into people's lives. And like a long piece of entangled rope that you struggle to untangle, they become massively difficult to break free from. I hope this guide is doing a good job of revealing where the knots are for you so that your efforts to keep well become more focused and effective. If anything is confusing please don't hesitate to email me at support @ stresstherapist.net, I will be happy to answer your questions.

Thankfully I have a positive head whilst reading this and I feel this article is very valuable. I recognise a lot of those points in myself and it has helped me understand how I have got to this place. I am not a selfish person and this has been my downfall. I am strong and my personality wishes me to be kind and help others as well as achieve myself. This has put a huge strain on myself and I have had to learn to be more selfish and take time out for myself doing things I like to do. I have cut the negative people out of my life and I feel uplifted by this. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now and I'm going to find it ๐. Reading this article has made me realise I am a good person who just got a bit lost in others needs but I can make changes to reset my mind and find myself again. It has also helped me understand a few other people in my life. Some who I now know I cannot help, as they need to recognise there own habits before they can be helped. They are not my problem anymore. I am focusing on me! ๐ YOU ARE ALL STRONG - that's why you find yourself where you are. Don't beat yourself up about it. Praise yourself!! ๐ Then look at how you can help yourself to find yourself because you deserve it โค๏ธ xx Good luck everyone xx

Melaniya Jenny
Thanks so much for the video @StressTherapist, My DFM is hard to deal with. She follows me around because she wants to tell me what's on her mind. This pisses me off because she disrespects my space and she is only thinking of herself.
StressTherapist
@Melaniya Jenny Yes, that can be really annoying.
Rosa
That happens to me too @Melaniya Jenny. The other thing that happens is my DFM hates to be questioned and challenged. I am going to give that calibrated questions a try. I will see how well it works.
Sionann Kora
Now I realize why I am so, so angry all the time. I realize that my DFM (who is my mum) cannot give me the emotional validation that I crave. I need to let go of that fantasy and stop letting the anger eat me up.
Barbara
Aha! I see now why my DFM is so difficult. He is often so unreasonable. He has psychological, and behavioral deficiencies, and genetic dispositions that can lead to him be cold and lacking in empathy. This training has really helped me to understand why it is impossible to come to any agreement with him. And why simple conversations feel like pulling teeth.
StressTherapist
@Barbara, That's something that can be confusing for many people. Many DFM's frames of awareness is often severely limited that it is hard to see beyond their own bubble. This is a very sad state of affair because your DFM will still fight and argue with you even if you have good intentions for them.
Andy
I feel pity that my DFM is not getting the necessary help she needs. Many things in her life would improve if she did. Ironically, she doesn't think anything is wrong with her. She is convinced that all of us need to go to therapy because we are the ones with the problem.
Iris
How do I stop myself from losing it every time he presses my buttons. Like you said in the video, my emotions take over before I can even do anything about it.
Andy
Hi @Iris, I believe that is why the brain gym process he describes about halfway through the video is necessary. Because there is no other way to retrain the brain to not react to situations you have no chance of preparing for.
